It is envisaged that this list will evolve over time and the ANCD welcomes contributions to the list. The ANCD encourages you to explore each funding opportunity thoroughly to ensure that you are familiar with their specific requirements.

Australian Institute of Criminology — Criminology Research Council

The Criminology Research Council controls and administers the Criminology Research Fund which provides research grants to researchers in universities, government departments or similar institutions within Australia. The Council's role is to fund criminological research from a budget supported by its members and relates to methodologically sound research in the areas of sociology, psychology, law, statistics, police, judiciary, corrections, mental health, social welfare, education and related fields. The research to be conducted is policy-oriented, and research outcomes should have the potential for application in other jurisdictions or nationally.

ASHM Workforce Development Program

ASHM’s Workforce Development Program (WDP) aims to build the capacity of a skilled workforce through the provision of a range of workforce and management development projects and strategies for workers and organisations in the viral hepatitis, HIV and sexual health sector across NSW.

Department of Health and Ageing and Australian National Preventative Health Agency grants

The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing and the Australian National Preventative Health Agency offer a variety of grants.

Department of the Parliamentary Library — Guide to Community Grants

Provides links to selected Commonwealth, State and Territory Government funding sources, as well as non-government organisations and commercial subscription sites.

Foundation for Alcohol Research and Education (FARE)

 FARE grants will support programs and projects which address the prevention of alcohol and other licit substance misuse, including petrol sniffing. FARE will particularly focus on support for projects which assist vulnerable population groups such as Indigenous Australians and youth.

Healthpact

Healthpact is working to achieve its vision of a healthy, vital, sustainable ACT community. The majority of available funds are provided to ACT community organisations to undertake health promotion projects in the programs of healthy people, healthy communities and healthy environments through the focus areas of sun protection, smoking prevention, healthy nutrition, physical activity, safe behaviours, promoting mental health and community development.

Holden Community Support Program

Holden provides support by donating cash, goods and services in kind to community groups, non-profit organisations and educational institutions across Australia.

Honda Foundation

The Honda Foundation supports organisations who focus their activities on the disadvantaged, disabled or those suffering from long-term and life threatening illnesses.

Ian Potter Foundation

Law and Justice Foundation of NSW — Grants Program

The Law and Justice Foundation seeks to improve access to justice, particularly for socially and economically disadvantaged people. Provides funding to a range of Western Australian organisations.

Macquarie Bank Foundation

Provides funding for programs which benefit the communities of which Macquarie is a part, in the areas of education, the arts, health research, health care, welfare and the environment.

The Malian Foundation

The Malian Foundation is a non-profit Australian public company dedicated to aiding the efficient operation and management of non-profit institutions around the world. Membership to any of The Malian Foundation's programs is open to non-profit institutions completely free with no ongoing fees whatsoever.

Mazda Foundation

Provides funding to a broad range of charitable entities.

Mercy Foundation

Provides practical support for people who are working together for the elimination of poverty and the creation of a more just social order.

Myer Foundation

Provides funding to organisations for a broad range of projects.

National Drug Law Enforcement Research Fund (NDLERF)

(NDLERF) is a funding program that promotes evidence-based practice in drug law enforcement. The Fund promotes innovation, experimentation and research that enhances the capacity of the drug law enforcement sector to contribute more broadly to reduce the supply of, demand for, and harm associated with licit and illicit drugs.

National Health and Medical Research Council

Personal Helpers and Mentors (FAHCSIA)

The Personal Helpers and Mentors (PHaMs) service aims to provide increased opportunities for recovery for people whose lives are severely affected by mental illness takes a strengths-based, recovery approach; and assists people aged 16 years and over whose ability to manage their daily activities and to live independently in the community is impacted because of a severe mental illness.
