Co-Founder of Medecins Sans Frontieres (also known as Doctors Without Borders)
Prof. Daniel Tarantola's career includes being instrumental in the foundation of the world-reknowned Medecins Sans Frontieres and the first doctor to be employed in the field for this organisation. Also, as a senior policy advisor to the World Health Organisation (WHO), a close collaborator of the late, great Jonathon Mann, a senior associate at the Francois-Zavier Bagnoud Centre for Health and Human Rights at Harvard University and since 2005, is chair of the Initiative for Health and Human Rights, a unique cross-disciplined collaboration at UNSW.
