Funding opportunities

The ANCD provides the following links to assist individuals/organisations in the AOD sector to source possible funding opportunities. It is envisaged that this list will evolve over time and the ANCD welcomes contributions to the list. The ANCD encourages you to explore each funding opportunity thoroughly to ensure that you are familiar with their specific requirements.

Alcohol Education and Rehabilitation Foundation (AERF)

AERF grants will support programs and projects which address the prevention of alcohol and other licit substance misuse, including petrol sniffing. AERF will particularly focus on support for projects which assist vulnerable population groups such as Indigenous Australians and youth.

Alice Springs Town Council Community Grants

Provides funding support for a range of activities that will benefit the community.

ANZ Charitable Services

Trustee for approximately 390 charitable trusts.

Australian Institute of Criminology — Criminology Research Council

The Criminology Research Council controls and administers the Criminology Research Fund which provides research grants to researchers in universities, government departments or similar institutions within Australia. The Council's role is to fund criminological research from a budget supported by its members and relates to methodologically sound research in the areas of sociology, psychology, law, statistics, police, judiciary, corrections, mental health, social welfare, education and related fields. The research to be conducted is policy-oriented, and research outcomes should have the potential for application in other jurisdictions or nationally.

Subscription based Australian newsletter providing details on all the available business grants, scholarships and professional industry awards.

communitybuilders.nsw

NSW Government site that aims to help local communities across the State share ideas on how to enhance and strengthen their community. The Funding Facts section provides links to sources of funding and information on how to write submissions.

The most comprehensive source of funding information available on the Web, with more than 23,000 records, representing over 400,000 funding opportunities worldwide, worth over $33 billion.

Community Partnerships Initiative — 5th Funding Round (National Illicit Drug Strategy)

The Australian Government Department of Health and Ageing is seeking Expressions of Interest (EOI) from incorporated community groups or organisations who can demonstrate the ability to develop a prevention or early intervention project with the support of other groups in your community, to help prevent or reduce illicit drug use in the community.

Department of the Parliamentary Library — Guide to Community Grants

HACjobs

HACjobs consists of a website and a free weekly email newsletter, which advertises job vacancies, grants, scholarships, awards, and tenders.

Healthpact

Healthpact is working to achieve its vision of a healthy, vital, sustainable ACT community. The majority of available funds are provided to ACT community organisations to undertake health promotion projects in the programs of healthy people, healthy communities and healthy environments through the focus areas of sun protection, smoking prevention, healthy nutrition, physical activity, safe behaviours, promoting mental health and community development.

Holden Community Support Program

Holden provides support by donating cash, goods and services in kind to community groups, non-profit organisations and educational institutions across Australia.

Jupiters Casino Community Benefit Fund (JCCBF)

JCCBF provides grants to non-profit community organisations for projects which will be of benefit to the community at large.

Law and Justice Foundation of NSW — Grants Program

The Law and Justice Foundation seeks to improve access to justice, particularly for socially and economically disadvantaged people. The Foundation's current direction for its grants program is to support innovative projects that meet the Foundation's objects and focus on groups whose position in society may compromise their access to justice.

Lord Mayor's Charitable Fund

The mission of the Fund is to improve the quality of life through the development of community philanthropy - supporting hospitals and charities serving Melbourne or, at the request of the donor, elsewhere in Australia.

Lotteries Western Australia

Provides funding to a range of Western Australian organisations.

Macquarie Bank Foundation

Provides funding for programs which benefit the communities of which Macquarie is a part, in the areas of education, the arts, health research, health care, welfare and the environment.

The Malian Foundation

The Malian Foundation is a non-profit Australian public company dedicated to aiding the efficient operation and management of non-profit institutions around the world. Membership to any of The Malian Foundation's programs is open to non-profit institutions completely free with no ongoing fees whatsoever.

Mazda Foundation

Provides funding to a broad range of charitable entities.

Mercy Foundation

Provides practical support for people who are working together for the elimination of poverty and the creation of a more just social order.

Microsoft Australia — Community Assistance Initiative

Provides software and technical support to registered non-profit organisations throughout Australia that provide human services for disadvantaged groups or individuals.

National Drug Law Enforcement Research Fund (NDLERF)

(NDLERF) is a funding program that promotes evidence-based practice in drug law enforcement. The Fund promotes innovation, experimentation and research that enhances the capacity of the drug law enforcement sector to contribute more broadly to reduce the supply of, demand for, and harm associated with licit and illicit drugs.

National Health and Medical Research Council

NHMRC provides funding support for health and medical research.

NSW Health Workforce Development Program

Provides financial assistance for, but not limited to, NSW health and community workers to undertake training relevant to NSPs and HIV/STD/hepatitis treatment and prevention.

Online WA

Official internet portal of the Western Australian Government and provides links to several funding sources.

Provides support to registered charitable organisations throughout Australia.

Philanthropy Australia

Philanthropy Australia is the peak body for philanthropic trusts and foundations. It provides a range of information products and services for organisations looking for funding.

ProbonoAustralia

Allows Not for Profit Organisations to register on a directory, which is then made available to a range of professionals who are considering donations or bequests on behalf of themselves, their clients or their companies.

Queensland Cancer Fund

Provides support for cancer research in the form of grants, fellowships and scholarships.

Queensland Government Grants

List of funding programs available through the Queensland Government.

RACV Foundation

Provides funding to Victorian organisations for a diverse range of projects.

Social Ventures Australia (SVA)

SVA aims to source innovative solutions to many of Australian society's entrenched community problems. SVA provides social ventures with various forms of resources and support.

Sony Foundation Australia

Provides support for projects and/or organisations that specifically benefit Australian youth (25 years and under).

South Australian Regional Funding and Grants Register

A registry of funding and grant solutions for your business and community initiative.

St.George Foundation

Provides support to charitable organisations throughout Australia to help them assist children and young people up to 18 years of age.

STA Travel Trust

Assists individuals and community groups to explore the world and make their big ideas come to life by investing significant dollars and air tickets in the community. Ideas must be compatible with STA's Travel philosophy of developing peace, tolerance and understanding through travel, learning and experience.

Provides funding for initiatives that enhance youth participation or create opportunities for the development of young people aged 12-25 years.

The Ian Potter Foundation

Provides funding to organisations for a broad range of projects.

The Myer Foundation

Provides funding to organisations for a broad range of projects.

Victorian Community Support Grants

Provides funding for a range of projects that will benefit the Victorian community.

Victorian Multicultural Commission

Funds a number of programs to assist ethnic and community based organisations with programs and activities that aim to meet the needs of culturally and linguistically diverse communities.

IMB Community Foundation

IMB Community Foundation are calling for Funding Requests for 2007.
