Mr Nick Heath
General Manager, Hobart City Council
Nick Heath was appointed General Manager of the Hobart City Council in November 2008.
Prior to that, Nick was the Deputy General Manager, Director Strategy and Governance at the Hobart City Council, responsible for the Council’s legal, economic development, strategic planning, risk management and continuous improvement portfolios.
Nick is a qualified lawyer and has had 24 years experience working in local government.
Nick is Chairman of the National Local Government Drug and Alcohol Advisory Committee and is a member of the Council of Capital City Lord Mayors, Drug Advisory Committee. He is also a member director on the Quadrant Superannuation Scheme Board of trustees, a past President of the Risk Management Institute of Australasia (RMIA), Tasmanian Chapter and a past Chairman of the Hutchins School Board of Management. He is also a past Director of the Hobart Aquatic Centre.
Nick is married with two teenage sons.
