Sue-Anne Morley
Australian National Council on Drugs; National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Committee
Sue-Anne Morley is the Executive Officer for the National Indigenous Drug and Alcohol Committee under the Australian National Council on Drugs.
Having lived in various remote areas in the Northern Territory for over 15 years, Ms Morley has actively been involved in Indigenous affairs since 1998, with a primary focus on tobacco, substance misuse, petrol sniffing, crime and suicide prevention. During this time she has sought to improve the quality of life for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and worked closely with communities, Australian and State/Territory Governments, and the non govt sector to coordinate more effective service delivery, develop best practices and implement appropriate programs to address gaps and issues.
Ms Morley also been involved in the development of policy and projects having served on a number of forums at the local, state and national level including:

- National Illicit Drug Strategy Northern Territory Non Governments Organisations Treatment Grant Reference Group
- National Suicide Prevention Northern Territory Advisory Committee—Chair
- National Mental Health Initiative Advisory Group
- Northern Territory Indigenous Stakeholders Group
- Northern Territory Inter-government Family and Domestic Violence Group
- Northern Territory Cross Border Substance Misuse Reference Group
- Northern Territory Women’s Cancer Prevention Advisory Committee
- Northern Territory Tobacco Coalition Group
Ms Morley has a background in information technology, consultancy, training, community development, project management, public service and research.
