Community consultation

NIDAC consults with the Indigenous community and those people dealing with Indigenous drug and alcohol problems in various parts of Australia, so they may voice their views and receive feedback on policies and strategies from NIDAC members. Information from these discussions is fed back to the ANCD and relevant Ministers in State/Territory and Australian Governments, the ANCD and the Inter Governmental Department on Drugs (IGCD) to provide an opportunity for policies to meet the needs of the Australian community in addressing Indigenous drug and alcohol issues.
